The Irish Winter Festival (IWF) is an annual poker event where pro players compete alongside online satellite winners for thousands of Euros. First held in 2001, the festival has become a favourite with players from all over the globe who flock to the Burlington Hotel, Dublin, Ireland – which will be called the Doubletree from September 2013.
The three days of poker start on October 26th and run through to the 28th 2013.
Online qualifiers are running right now at selected iPoker sites with a chance of a slice of the action in Dublin this October with IWF Prize Packages and IWF Main Event Seat prizes to be won.

Satellites
There are qualifiers running every day leading towards a €1,700 IWF Prize Package from just €0.33, sit n go’s from €4.30. If it’s the full IWF prize Package that you’re after then these are the daily satellites you need to be playing in, easily found though the poker lobby / land based / Irish Winter Festival structure A. You can buy into the tournament where the packages are won, two packages guaranteed, for €130 on Sundays at 9.30pm.
Identify the satellites leading to a IWF Main Event seat through the land based tab – as above – and select either Irish Winter Festival B or C.
Irish Winter Festival structure B has daily satellites with buy ins from just €0.22, sit n go’s from €8.80. These lead the winners onto the Super Satellites structure B, held on Tuesdays at 8pm the buy in direct at this stage for €66, the format will be double stack, freezeout which means no rebuys or add – ons.
Irish Winter Festival structure C also has daily satellites where you can buy in from only €0.22, sit n go’s from €2.75, leading to the IWF Super Satellites structure C, buy in direct €22 held every Thursday at 8pm. Structure C Super Satellite’s format is rebuy and add on which means you can add on at a cost of €20 or, if you have 1500 of less chips, you can rebuy (€20) – an extra shot at the prize!
Remember, play Structure A satellites if you want an IWF prize package worth €1,700, if you would prefer an IWF Main Event seat only then head for Structure B and C satellites.
