The Irish Poker Open, Europe’s longest running poker event, is second only in world longevity to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) which started way back in 1981. This year there will be an estimated prizepool of €1,000,000 to be won during the Easter weekend (from 18th to 22nd April 2014) where poker greats will sit down alongside online package winners to win big money.
The Main Event will get most of the attention and last year’s winner, Englishman Ian Simpson who promptly proposed to his girlfriend, who took home €265.000 plus a fiancé has vowed he will be back this year

Irish Poker Open 2014 Schedule
The Main Event is the game everyone will want to play. This No Limit Holdem Freezeout tournament (freezeout means you can only buy-in once and there are no rebuys) costs €2250 with dinner included. Day one starts at 1pm on 18th April with 30,000 chips and 60 minute levels. The final table will be played on day four (April 21st) starting at 1pm.
